Madden NFL 23 was announced this week, but there was no reference to Longshot. The announcement instead, EA focused on a new career mode known as Face of the Franchise: QB1. It seems that this mode will replace Longshot.

Game Informer's long interview with the creative director Mike Young is worded as it's as if QB1 will replace Longshot. MMOexp has contacted EA Sports in an attempt to learn more information.

For the brand new QB1 mode the players will assume the function of a backup quarterback at a top college who will have to perform to the top position that is the College Football Playoff. College football is the focus of Madden NFL 23 which, and this is a huge deal considering it's been absent for so long because of numerous lawsuits and other problems. Ten colleges are represented on the cover of Madden NFL 23, including powerful schools like Clemson as well as Oklahoma.
